MOVE with Zip Active EYFS
The development of an engaging, purposeful resource supporting children in the early years to develop fundamental movement skills, enjoy physical activity, and promote a healthy lifestyle, while supporting their communication and language development.
Introducing engaging child friendly characters Zip, Zap and Zen, MOVE with Zip Active is designed for children aged 2-5 years in reception classes, PE, nurseries, play groups, childminder settings, and the home. It fully supports all areas of the EYFS and can be delivered by all those working with young children. It can also support fundamental movement skill development in KS1 PE.
Training is also available covering the impact of the movement on child development in the early years, ways to support communication and language though physical play and new ideas for physical activity supporting the EYFS & reception PE.
What I did:
Created a new inspiring resource available to all those working with children 2-5 years. Created 5 large themed colourful posters to help to generate conversations with children. Each designed to support knowledge and understanding of shapes, colours, numbers, physical actions and the world around us, supporting many areas of EYFS.
The 64 activity cards provide masses of fun physical activity ideas to support the fundamental movement skills of agility, balance and coordination, fine and gross motor skills, with teaching points, yoga cards, vocabulary and sound prompts all linked to the poster theme.
It also includes a set of Chatter Cards to further support communication, language and understanding, along with a reward sticker template, certificate of participation and take-home ideas.
